Our Technology
Learn more about our direct lithium extraction technology
-
Modular and Mobile Facilities
Our facilities have a modular design and can be transported to a new location when necessary. The modular design also allows for quick expansion of production capacity to meet increasing demand – expansion can even be done while the facility remains in operation. -
Carbon Neutral Technology
The lithium mining industry emitted about 6 billion kg of CO2 in 2021. Our technology is based on the reuse of oilfield wastewater, and both extraction and refining are done in the same facility – resulting in a neutral carbon footprint. -
Minimal Water Consumption
Our facility processes the produced water on-site, and more than 90% of the produced water is reused for reinjection or irrigation purposes.
Our Products
We produce high-purity battery-grade lithium carbonate
We use Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology, which means that we produce lithium carbonate in just hours – this compares to as long as 3 years using traditional solar evaporation technology.
We Turn Wastewater into High-Value Metals
We produce high-purity battery-grade lithium carbonate from oil & gas produced water
The produced water contains soluble and non-soluble oil/organics, suspended solids, dissolved solids, and various chemicals used in the production process. However, produced water also contains valuable metals that can be extracted using our proprietary technology.
Water is Readily Available
In the US alone, more than 55 million barrels of produced water are generated daily
Today, most produced water is transported away from the production site and injected into disposal wells, which creates a big environmental footprint and high cost. Our system processes the water on-site; more than 90% of the produced water is reused for reinjection or irrigation purposes.
